FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Students have returned to the William O. Darby Junior High School in Fort Smith after being evacuated due to a bomb threat on Friday (Sept. 12), officials say.

Authorities arrived at the school after a bomb threat was found in the boys bathroom on a wall written in pencil, according to officials.

Students were temporarily put into the tornado shelters, but the school has now been cleared, officials said.

Words in the message were misspelled, and all students have returned to class, according to officials.
