FORT SMITH (KFSM) – A woman was rescued from her vehicle after the streets flooded Wednesday night following a rainstorm.
Several vehicles in downtown Fort Smith had to be abandoned after flood waters covered the cars’ tires. One woman who left her vehicle had to be lifted up and escorted across the water on an officer’s back.
No injuries have yet been reported out of the storm, but authorities have responded to several minor traffic crashes.
