MOUNTAINBURG (KFSM) – The Mountainburg School District went into lockdown on Wednesday morning (Oct. 1) after police said a person was seen waving a gun from their vehicle window near the middle school, according to Dennis Copeland, Mountainburg superintendent.

The Mountainburg Middle School received a call from the Mountainburg Police Department at 10:05 a.m. telling them to go into lockdown due to the person seen near the school waving a gun from their vehicle window, Copeland said.
