LOWELL (KFSM) – Construction crews have started a weekend-long project that will widen I-49 from two lanes, to three.

The project started Friday (Oct. 3) night.

Crews will have the interstate limited to a single lane for northbound drivers.

The project is expected to be complete by Monday (Oct. 6) morning.

The southbound lanes are expected to be expanded, with construction beginning on Oct. 17.

I’m confused, how are they expanding an entire lane over a weekend yet the rest of 49 has been under construction for months?

Are you special, or just stupid? The barriers that didn’t meet spec are in Benton county, installed by an independent contractor. Go do the world a favor and play in the street, or play with a loaded gun. I hope you haven’t reproduced.
