Free Flu Clinics On Hold, Vaccines Delayed

ARKANSAS (KTHV) – Although vaccinations are not in short supply, shipments to the Arkansas Department of Health are delayed, and it may be December before flu clinics are rescheduled.

While it’s still early in the flu season, Dr. Jennifer Dillaha the Medical Director for Immunizations at the Arkansas Department of Health says a delay in delivery of flu vaccines is causing some concern.

“It has to do with the distribution at the national level, so apparently there is a new process for collecting and distributing the vaccinations.”
