FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force busted another man in its ongoing investigation into a group of men selling marijuana in Northwest Arkansas, authorities say.

Randy Ivy, 29, of Fayetteville was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Oct. 21 at 10:48 a.m. and faces charges of delivery of marijuana, possession of schedule four drugs with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to pay fines and cost, according to the jail’s intake report.

Over a period of three months members of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force have investigated a group of men who have been selling pot in Northwest Arkansas, according to authorities.

Ivy was part of that investigation, and detectives used a confidential informant to purchase a total of three ounces of pot from Ivy on three separate occasions while wearing a listening and recording device, according to an arrest report.

The confidential informant was able to identify Ivy using a known photograph, the report states.

On Oct. 7, detectives spoke with Ivy at his apartment, and he invited them in and gave them consent to search his place. While speaking with him in the kitchen, authorities found a small bag of pot laying on the counter. A total of six ounces of pot were located, as well as, a set of digital scales and a one gallon plastic bag that contained smaller bags of marijuana, according to the report.

Ivy’s bond was set at $2,270, and he bonded out at 6 p.m. on the same day he was booked into the jail, the detention center’s intake report states.

His next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17, according to the jail’s intake report.

Two other men were arrested in the same investigation, one on Oct. 15 and the other on Oct. 20, authorities said.
