BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – Walmart made the announcement on Monday (Oct. 28) that the retail giant has officially started selling used video games, according to a news release.

The store is selling pre-owned video games in 1,700 stores and now competes with other businesses that sell used video games like Gamestop and GameXChange, according to officials.

In March, Walmart began to accept used games for the first time in the store’s history. Customers could trade in used games for a Walmart gift card or credit toward another purchase, according to the release.

Used video games are being sold in their own section or alongside other discounted titles, the release states.
