ALMA (KFSM)- Some Alma residents will have to boil their water until further notice after a water line break on Wednesday (Oct. 29).
According to a release from the Highway 71 Water District No. 1 Public Water Authority, the boil order has been called for customers on Dean Springs Road from Valley Side Road to Firehouse Road, including Valley Side Bend, Fieldstone.
As a precaution, customers are being told to boil their water for one minute before using it. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used to make ice.
The boil order affects about 50 people.
The boil order will be lifted when the Arkansas Department of Health notifies the Highway 71 Water No. 1 office.
