SALLISAW (KFSM)- Carl Albert State College held its first annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes march on Wednesday (Oct. 29) in downtown Sallisaw.

The event is part of an international men's march to stop domestic violence and sexual assault.

About 50 men wearing heels came out to support the march, which benefits the Help In Crisis Agency in Sallisaw.

"It is difficult for anybody to walk a mile in heels, especially when you are a big o'l guy in a little bitty heels. It is really difficult. We have had more than one pair of shoes bust out during the walk and they will come hobbling in with one shoe on and one shoe off," said Margaret Cook, the executive director of Help In Crisis Agency.
