FORT SMITH (KFSM) - Leaders across Sebastian County will come together Wednesdy (Oct.29) in Fort Smith for an Ethical Leadership Forum. It's aimed at teaching leaders in various areas how to better at their jobs. Leaders will sit down to talk about how to better lead.

Three leaders wil speak at the event. Entrepreneur Steve Clark, President and CEO of ArcBest, Judy McReynolds, and the head football coach in Greenwood, Rick Jones. Each of them will discuss the importance of leadership and the role it plays in everyday life.

More specifically, they will teach the importance of ethical leadership which means going above and beyond just doing something that makes a difference but also doing it in the right way.

The Ethical Leadership Conference is put on by John Brown University every October but this is the first time the Community Bible Church was involved.

Kevin Thompson who is the lead pastor at the church will lead the discussion. Thompson said that leadership implies doing the important thing in a proper manner. "One thing that every leader has in common is that they know everything about leadership so they want to learn more about it," said Thompson.

According to Thompson, leadership is not only used in the business world. "I think leadership goes to the stay at home mom, she is having to lead her family," said Thompson. "It goes to everything from a company to someone running a small business to also leading a sports team."

Doors open at 5:30 with a meet and greet. The panel starts at 6:00. For those of you who want to stay at home and tune in, the Community Bible Church will live stream the event on their website.

John Brown University said they plan on having more Ethical Leadership Forums next year.
