SHERWOOD (KTHV) – One person has been reported dead in an icy collision on Highway 67/167.

According to the Sherwood Fire Chief, ice was the cause of the nine-car collision that killed one person early Thursday morning on southbound Highway 67 at Wildwood Avenue. No other injuries have been reported so far.

If you are taking this route for your morning commute, traffic is currently being diverted down Frontage Road, and movement is very slow. Responders said clearing the accident will take a couple of hours, so expect delays into downtown Little Rock all morning.

According to the Little Rock Police Department, other accidents have been reported along I-440 and I-40.

Thursday morning commuters should practice extra caution during their drive into work or school as some parts of Arkansas received some wintry precipitation overnight. When going out, please remember to give yourself extra time for your commute and allow yourself extra time to make a complete stop.

Marielle Mohs is live at the scene of the accident and will being reporting throughout THV11 This Morning.
