8-Month-Old Baby Killed in Guthrie Apartment Fire

GUTHRIE, Okla. – An 8-month-old baby was killed and several people were injured after an apartment complex caught fire in Guthrie, Oklahoma early Wednesday (Nov. 19) morning.

According to the Guthrie Fire Department, the people who were injured had to jump from the second floor of the complex to escape the flames. Search crews looked for the infant who was originally unaccounted for. Authorities on scene later confirmed the infant had died.

The baby’s name will not be released, according to Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow.

Officials with the American Red Cross said they are reaching out to the families affected.
