FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Cyber Monday is known nationally as a day to get good deals online shopping, but several local businesses in Northwest Arkansas are participating as well.

Greydog Boutique on College Avenue in Fayetteville is one of those businesses.

"We're doing 25% off our whole website, and then for locals that can do the free in-store pickup, when they come to get their order can get a coupon to buy something in the store," Web Manager Laura Mullins said.

Mullins said Cyber Monday is a big day for online sales, because they can offer specials on their website to attract business from their out-of-town shoppers.

"Monday a lot of businesses are closed, so it might be slow in the store, but having the online business really helps us meet our sales goals," Mullins said.

Maude is also located on College Avenue, and is having a similar sale for their customers.

"We're doing 30% off everything online, sale items included, so we're excited," Web manager Jena Anderson said.

Anderson said she handles graphic design, social media and the website for the store. She said having a presence online and on other media outlets means more ways to make money.

"Social media is huge for us, in terms of promoting our website, and promoting an item in the store, you'll see us say also available online, at shop maude.com, so that's been really really big for us," Anderson said.

Anderson said she appreciates shoppers who support small businesses, and hopes people will choose to shop local on Cyber Monday.

"It gives you that community spirit, that community feel, and we want to make sure our shoppers can benefit on things like Cyber Monday where they can still benefit from our deals even though they live right here," Anderson said.

Both boutiques offer a free in-store pick up for any purchases made online.
