FORT SMITH (KFSM) – An afternoon fire damaged a few Fort Smith apartment units Wednesday, according to the Fort Smith Fire Department.

Local firefighters and emergency crews responded just before 4 p.m. to 2100 Brooken Hill Drive in Fort Smith in reference to an apartment fire. Fire officials said smoke was showing from the building, but the fire did not spread to other parts of the structure. The building was evacuated, but no one was injured, they said.

The fire was contained to Apartment 10, a first-floor unit at the complex. The unit sustained unknown damage, and surrounding units received some smoke and water damage, according to the fire department.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Who cares. This is Fort Smith. Nasty, crime infested, no jobs, houses are only worth 10% of what they were in 2007. Come to NWA where even old houses are $100/sq-ft.
Fort Smith has too many undesirable citizens that have infested the area and drove property values to almost nothing.
