Walmart Gets New Chief Operating Officer

BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – Retail giant Walmart got a new chief operating officer, according to a news release.

Judith McKenna, who previously served as chief development officer, has been promoted to chief operating officer and will assume her new job duties immediately, the release states.

She is taking over for Gisel Ruiz, who was promoted to executive vice president of Walmart’s International People Division, according to the release. Ruiz will also assume her new job duties right away, the release states.

McKenna has been with Walmart for almost 20 years, according to the release.

In her new position, she will lead a team of 1.3 million associates, the release states.
