TONTITOWN (KFSM)- Karissa Hobbs composed a thank you melody to travel nurses who work around the clock including the holidays and this Christmas is no different.

The song and music video features a nurse who's leaving her loved ones behind to take care of other people.

Hobbs is a recruiter for The Right Solutions in Tontitown, which is a nursing staffing company that connects nurses to where there is a need. She created the video alongside her co-workers.

"They are sacrificing time away from family, friends, their home, comfort, several other things to go and comfort and restore people's lives nationwide," Hobbs said.

Hobbs said most people understand the impact a nurse can make.

"I know that everybody's lives have been touched by a healthcare professional and it's just time that we say a really true, heartfelt thank you," Hobbs said.

There's a nursing shortage and the company sends nurses to all 50 states, according to Jay Graves, vice president of staffing services.

"What's unique about them is that they are running to where the fire is," Graves said. "They are always looking for where there are difficult situations or when people are in need."

The company has partnered with nurses for 20 years.

"I think especially during the holidays they make a lot of sacrifices to be there to help other families and I do'`t always think that people realize how hard it is for them to be away from their families," Graves said.

The Right Solutions has more than 300 nurses working during the holiday.
