FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A Fayetteville suspect attacked a man he said “owed him money” with a bb gun, according to police.

Chauceney Boles, 25, was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Jan. 9 at 6:56 a.m., according to jail records. He faces a charge of aggravated assault, jail records state.

The victim called police on Jan. 8, saying, he was hiding from a man that had just robbed him, according to an arrest report. He agreed to meet with police and be interviewed about the attack, the report states.

During the interview, he told police that Boles had contacted him by texts “asking for money he was owed,” according to the report. Boles later showed up at the victim’s home armed with a gun, the report states. He had another man there with him. Boles then demanded money from the victim, the report states.

Handing his gun to the other man, Boles entered the victim’s kitchen and armed himself with a knife, according to the report. A fight broke out between the three, and Boles pushed the victim against a wall, took $600 from his pocket, a bottle of Roxycodone and the victim’s cell phone, the report states.

The victim then proceeded to fight back, and the altercation moved outside onto a nearby street. Not long after, the victim ran away and contacted police concerning the incident, according to the report.

During the interview, the victim was presented with a photo lineup of suspects, and he immediately identified Boles as the person who robbed him, the report states.

Police started looking for Boles and found him at the EZ-Mart gas station at 4026 W. Wedington Dr., according to the report. He had a black semi-automatic bb pistol with him and said he was in a fight with the victim, the report states. Boles told police the victim owed him $1,500, according to the report. He also said the victim hit him, the report states.

Boles was taken into custody by police and later interviewed. During the interview, he said he was attacked by the victim, and a fight took place, according to the report. He admitted to taking the victim’s phone but said he gave it back, the report states. Boles also denied taking money or pills from the victim, according to the report.

No bond has been set for Boles, and his first hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12 at 7:45 a.m., according to police.
