SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) – The Siloam Springs 6 movie theater treated a veteran and his wife to a showing of the film “American Sniper” on Thursday (Jan. 15).

Danny Carter is a veteran that fought in Iraq and is now living on a fixed income. He wanted to see the movie but simply could not afford it, according to Jason Friddle, the manager of the movie theater. Friddle’s girlfriend found a post from Carter on Facebook asking if anyone could help him out with expenses for tickets to the movie, so Friddle agreed to help.

Friddle said the post explained that Carter wanted to see the movie, but he also needed his wife to be there because he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, and he might have to exit during the film if he has a break down.

The manager spoke with the owners of the theater to get permission to give a couple free tickets to Carter and his wife. Friddle said the owners agreed and not only were able to provide free tickets but also gave Carter and his wife free popcorn and drinks.

“He was very excited that the theater itself wanted to help and thanked me,” Friddle said.
