FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Investigators with the Fayetteville Police Department are looking for two men who they say stabbed a man early Saturday (Jan. 24) morning.
It happened on North Whitham Avenue around 5:30AM.
Rita Gustus identified herself as the victim’s wife. She said her husband, age 48, went to get firewood across the street from their apartment complex when he was beaten by two men, for allegedly stealing the wood.
She said her husband is recovering at home after he was stabbed in the lower back.
Police said the victim sustained a fractured rib and a punctured lung.
The suspects are white, around 160 lbs, with dark hair, according to police.
Police aren’t releasing the name of the victim or the suspects in this case.
