Fayetteville (KFSM) – Volunteers are once again needed to help recycle the wreaths removed from the Fayetteville National Cemetery from Christmas during the 3rd Annual Wreath Recycling Event, hosted by Bo’s Blessings, LUTHAB, Inc.

The purpose is to return the greenery to the earth to decompose, the wire will be recycled and the red ribbons given to M.A.D.D. for their victims walk.

The recycling event will start tomorrow (Fri. January 30) from 9a.m. until 3:00p.m. And again on Saturday (Jan. 31) at 9a.m. If necessary, the group will work the following Friday and Saturday, too.  The event will be held at 750 S. Hill Street directly behind the old “Brenda’s Better Burgers” building on MLK Boulevard.

Please dress warm, bring work gloves, a chair and small hand tools (wire snipers, wire cutters, pliers, etc.)

Any money raised from the recycling event is donated to the RNINC for future land purchases for the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
