FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A 23-year-old Fayetteville man is dead after crashing into a highway sign and then a tree on Monday morning (Feb. 2), according to an Arkansas State Police crash report.
Brandon Z. Berger was driving a 1998 GMC vehicle south on Interstate 49 at 1:19 a.m. when he went off the left side of the road, police say. After leaving the road, he struck a highway sign and then a tree, according to authorities.
The crash took place at the 67 mile marker, and the weather was clear at the time of the accident, the report states.
The road was dry when the crash took place, police said.
