LEFLORE, Okla. (KFSM) – The LeFlore School District canceled classes for Friday because of the large number of students and staff who have missed school this week due to illness.

LeFlore school administrators made the decision mid-day Thursday after the number of absences increased each day throughout the week because of several illnesses, including the flu, an administrator told 5NEWS.

Officials plan to resume classes Monday.

LeFlore is a small town of 190 residents in western LeFlore County, Okla., according to U.S. Census data.
