N. Little Rock Forfeits Wins, 2014 Championship

Wildcats forfeit games including 7A title win over Springdale
North Little Rock

North Little Rock High School has forfeited wins from both their football and boys basketball teams from the 2013-14 season due to the use of an ineligible player.

The Charging Wildcats forfeit  10 wins from the 2013 football season while forfeiting ‘at least’ 24 wins from last year’s basketball team, including the 89-81 win over Springdale in the 7A state championship game. North Little Rock turned in the championship trophy to the Arkansas Activities Association office.

“We are grateful to North Little Rock High School for its integrity and honesty while dealing with a sensitive issue,” AAA executive director Lance Taylor said.

“The district self-reported what is considered a violation of AAA rules and took immediate action. The AAA agrees that a violation occurred,” the release stated.

Football coach Brad Bolding was fired earlier today (Feb. 5) but said he plans to appeal. If the firing and the violation is connected is yet to be determined.
