Fort Smith Police Investigate Early Morning Armed Robbery

FORT SMITH (KFSM) –  Fort Smith Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robberY that happened early this morning.

Police said a man came into the Sunshine Market gas station on Kelly Highway, pointed a gun toward the clerk and demanded money. The clerk then gave the suspect money and he left the market, according to police.

The store’s surveillance system was not working at the time. The clerk described the suspect as a white male, six-foot tall and medium build.
