FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Two suspects police accuse of committing armed robberies near the University of Arkansas are in the Washington County Detention Center facing several charges.

Sabrina Peggy and Ricky Rovak, both from Springdale, were booked Friday night (Feb. 6th) after two knife-point robberies, according to authorities.  Campus officials sent out a tweet Friday afternoon notifying the public of the robberies. Police say one happened on the 900 block of Leverett Avenue, the other between Oakland Avenue and West Hughes Street.

Police charged Peggy and Rovak with aggravated robbery, theft of property, and aggravated assault, with the last two being federal charges. Both have their 8.1 Hearings scheduled for Feb. 9th at 7:45 a.m. at the Washington County Circuit Court.

The Springdale couple was arrested Friday in the parking lot of Dillard’s at the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
