FORT SMITH (KFSM) – With winter weather headed our way some shoppers are stocking up on groceries.

Grocery stores prepped for crowds Sunday (Feb. 15) as we could be seeing icy roads, school closings and potential power outages.

5NEWS spoke with one shopper who remembers last year’s ice storm in the River Valley.

He said he’s not taking any chances this year.

“Well, they will probably fill up on everything,” Chris Day said. “I know I went to the supermarket and couldn’t find anything because everything was off the shelves so hopefully they keep it stocked up this year.”
