Arkansas Women Wallop LSU

Razorbacks score first 10 points of game to coast to 22-point win

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - LSU was tied for third place heading into Sunday's date at Arkansas but the Tigers left licking their wounds.

Arkansas scored the first 10 points of the game and never trailed as they blasted LSU 63-41 at Bud Walton Arena.

Jessica Jackson, the reigning SEC co-player of the week, continued her hot stretch as she poured in 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Kelsey Brooks added 20 points for the Razorbacks while Jhasmin Bowen added 13 points and eight rebounds.

LSU was paced by DaShawn Harden's 14 points off the bench but the Tigers shot just 27 percent from the floor.

Arkansas has now won five of their last seven games and moved into seventh place in the SEC standings and look to be heading for the NCAA tournament barring a late season collapse.

The Razorbacks have just two games left in the regular season, starting with No. 11 Kentucky coming to Fayetteville on Thursday.
