Another fast moving system will bring more snow to the River Valley & Ouachitas on Monday afternoon. The track is essentially the same as Sunday's system with around 1-2" possible. Temperatures may be slightly colder which could cause more travel issues than Sunday; however snow falling in the daylight hours usually has more trouble accumulating on road surfaces as opposed to nighttime snow.
At 6am, temperatures will be in the teens with a wind chill in the single digits.
Around Noon, we'll see more light snow move in from the west.
The heaviest from this round should occur around 1-3pm and will favor locations along and south of I40. Notice that temperatures are forecast to be a few degrees colder than Sunday which could cause more road issues than Sunday.
Snow probabilities are highest south of Fort Smith with over a 90% chance for 1" or more of snow near Waldron.
