FORT SMITH (KFSM)-The winter weather didn’t stop some from making it to church Sunday (March 1) morning.

Immaculate Conception Catholic church near downtown Fort Smith was open bright and early for their 10 a.m. mass.

5NEWS spoke with one man who braved the elements and made it just in time for the service.

“Well I’m from Cedarville,” said Kendall Myers. “We left about 10 minutes early because we didn’t know what we would run  into. The roads are fine, they are slushy  but no ice. It’s important to make mass.”
