Locally dense fog will likely develop on Wednesday morning with plentiful moisture at the surface due to recent rains. After the fog lifts mid-morning sunny skies will take over for Wednesday with another surge of moisture and rain chances arriving again on Thursday and Friday.
This image shows forecast relative humidity which will be close to 100% early on Wednesday which means the temperature will be very near the dewpoint which put the airmass near saturation and forms the right ingredients for fog development.
Clouds will be back over the entire area on Thursday with rain on HD Futurecast already lurking in SE Oklahoma & SW Arkansas. The rain will be moving north.
There are some timing discrepancies for the late week system. As of this afternoon, the next system appears to be moving a little quicker with rain possible by afternoon Thursday into Friday. This image from Tuesday's model run shows rain across much of the area around 10am on Thursday.
This model run trends much of the precipitation farther east with most of it arriving in our area late in the day on Thursday with another round into Friday. That's what looks most likely at this point. Rain chances starting Thursday afternoon and wrapping up by Friday afternoon with hopefully some clarity on the timing in the next day or so.
Bottom line: Foggy early Wednesday. Rain by Thursday evening possibly extending into Friday with a slow-clearing into the weekend. It appears the next chance for rain will arrive on Wednesday of the following week around March 18th.
