(KFSM) – A Fayetteville woman was killed in a rollover accident on Friday morning (March 13), police say.
Shay Sherrod, 23, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer south on Interstate 49 near mile marker 47 when she ran off the left side of the road and struck a concrete drainage ditch in the median. This caused her sport utility vehicle to roll several times, according to a crash report.
The woman was ejected through the driver’s side window, and the SUV came to rest 30 feet south of where she was ejected, police said.
According to the report, the accident happened at 10:20 a.m., and it was raining at the time.
