EUFAULA, OKLAHOMA (KFSM) – At least one person is dead after a medical helicopter crashed near Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma late Thursday night (March 12), according to a crash report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at 11:44 p.m. in a rural area four miles west of Stidham in McIntosh County, the report states.
The 2006 Eurocopter was piloted by Matt Matthews who died in the crash, authorities said.
Two other passengers were injured. The first was identified as Ryan Setzkorn, a white male, and he was taken to McAlester Regional Health Center with arm and head injuries, according to the report.
Authorities said the second passenger was identified as Ken Remsey, a white female. Remsey was taken to the same hospital but later transferred to a Tulsa medical facility with arm, head and leg injuries.
The current condition of both passengers is unknown, the report states.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.
