FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - The Arkansas men's basketball team will face Wofford in the second round of the NCAA tournament, but the matchup left some fans a little confused.
"I was like, 'where is that?' yeah I had no idea, but they must be a pretty decent basketball team if they're in the big dance," Hogs fan Jason Womack said.
Most Razorback fans said they aren't too concerned about the matchup, but are worried about the 5 seed and 12 seed curse. For the last 30 years, a 12 seed has beaten a 5 seed.
"I always pick the 12's to win in my lottery and in my bracket," Senior Robert Courtway said. "So I mean I'm kind of scared but at the same time I'm a Razorback fan through and through."
Farmington high school junior Will Warren said he follows college basketball faithfully. He said he think the Hogs will win against Wofford.
"The 5 seed isn't ideal, but I think that we can make a deep run because if we play our best, we are very good, we are tough to beat anywhere," Warren said.
Arkansas hasn't been in the NCAA tournament since 2008, and the last time the Razorbacks won was in 1994. The Hogs and Terriers will face off in Jacksonville, FL Thursday (March 19) at 9 p.m.
