While it’s generally tough to get started once you get out of your workout routine, experts said taking a break may give you the best results.
They said a short break is sometimes good for rest and muscle recovery.
A study in the Journal of Applied Physiology shows exercisers will see a loss in cardiovascular fitness, lean muscle mass, and insulin sensitivity at the 14-day mark.
Experts recommend easing in to your workouts, especially if you take a long time off from the gym.
