Atkins Woman Dead After Being Ejected In Pope County Crash

POPE COUNTY (KFSM) – An Atkins woman is dead after being ejected from her vehicle in a Pope County crash on Thursday (March 26), police say.

Monica Lenhart, 31, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer west on Interstate 40 at the time of the incident, according to a fatality report.

Lenhart drove off the road, struck a culvert and was ejected from her SUV, according to police.

The accident took place at 4:50 a.m. near mile marker 85, the report states.

According to police, it was raining at the time of the accident, and the road was wet.
