LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) – The state House of Representatives reconsidered and then passed a bill on Tuesday (March 31) that will allow Arkansas distillers to produce hard cider, according to a tweet from the House.

The bill was filed by Sen. Jon Woods, R-Springdale, and is called SB 1032, according to legislative records.

SB 1032 was brought up for a vote in the House on Monday (March 30) and failed with a tally of 50-9.

A motion was filed on Tuesday afternoon to reconsider the hard cider bill, and that motion was approved, bringing the bill up for a vote again before the full House. Representatives then passed the bill with a vote of 57-15, according to the tweet.
