AUBURN, Ala. (KFSM) – The ninth inning will be a frame Jacob Stone will want to forget as fast as possible.
The Razorbacks reliever allowed a single, walked a batter then hit back-to-back hitters to force home a run as Auburn evened the SEC series with a 3-2 win.
Auburn’s late rally erased a solid start by Dominic Taccolini as he allowed just one earned run in seven innings of work while striking out four for Arkansas. The Tigers’ three runs came on a double-play, a ground out and a hit batter.
Andrew Benintendi led the Razorbacks’ offense with a pair of hits and scored the tying run in the 7th inning after Chad Spanberger’s double bounced off the right-centerfield wall.
