Weather radios are relatively easy to program now since most locations have individual codes for each county in the area and only 7 different frequencies. The task when programming is to make sure you have the right frequency and the right county.

Here is a look at the different transmitter locations and their reach so you can find out which site will work best for your location.

Programming Your Weather Radio

Here are the county codes. Enter the county code or codes you wish to receive warnings for. Note: If you're programming the Midland WR 120 radio you will not need the codes. The actual county name will appear.

When programming your radio, select SINGLE to enter in one county, MULTIPLE to enter more than one county, or ALL to hear all warnings for that county.
