FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A trip from Mississippi Valley State might be just what Arkansas needs to start a run to push them toward a 14th straight postseason appearance.

Tyler Spoon led the way with four hits, driving in two and scoring twice, as the Razorbacks posted an 8-1 win inside Baum Stadium on Tuesday.

Andrew Benintendi continued his hot streak as he drove in a pair of runs while Cullen Gassawy had a pair of hits and drove in three as he got the start at first base.

Pitching had been the issue in midweek games for Arkansas over the first half of the season but Jacob Stone threw five innings while allowing just on ehit to pick up his second win of the season.

Arkansas scored five runs in the first two innings to put the game out of reach early of the Delta Devils who have now lost five straight. Mississippi Valley State was defeated 31-7 last week by Division II member Delta State.
