HOT SPRINGS (KTHV) – Five buffalo are on the loose in a Hot Springs neighborhood, according to authorities.

The bison reportedly got penned in below Robert’s Ridge in Hot Springs off Alysonview.

KTHV was told that the buffalo escaped from a farm on Shady Grove Rd. They managed to get down close to Lakeside schools on Malvern Ave. and were found at Roberts Ridge and Alysonview.

They were able to cross a very busy road and the Hot Springs National Country Club.

Animal control, Hot Springs Police Department and other deputies are on the scene. To control the animals, tranquilizer darts are being used. A perimeter has been set up so the buffalo cannot travel any further.
