FORT SMITH (KFSM) - The University of Arkansas Fort Smith has grant program where students go through a four to ten week training to learn job ready skills. These students then go to work at local businesses. On a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (April 19), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to Dave Robertson with U A Fort Smith's Center for Businesses and Professional Development.

Robertson tells 5NEWS that a grant pays for these programs, so tuition is free. He also says most students get into entry level work and the skills they learn makes them well-rounded candidates.
