With all the recent rain, our series on waterfalls continues to cascade with even more majestic sights. This week we visit one of the tallest falls in the Ozark National Forest.
This week's aquatic adventure involves a pair of hidden falls with plenty of height. Nestled deep in the Ozark National Forest off of highway 215 sit these watery behemoths.
In order to get to the trail, first park at the High Bank canoe launch which is along the Mulberry River. Then carefully walk on 215 about a quarter mile to the entrance near a stream.
The trail itself is tight and relatively rocky. Be careful as you walk along because the rocks can be slippery. The length of the trail is short, only roughly a quarter mile.
There are quite a few smaller warm up waterfalls so to speak that gear you up for the main event. The High Bank Twin Falls live up to their name, this is almost 7 stories, all of waterfall.
In addition to the fantastic view of the falls, look around for pictures from the past. Native Americans have left mementos of their lives from hundreds and possibly thousands of years ago.
