Owner Of Pit Bulls In Deadly Attack Charged

PINE BLUFF, Ark (KTHV) — The owner of a group of pit bulls responsible for a man’s death has officially been charged.

According to Jefferson County Prosecutor Kyle Hunter, John Smith, owner of CJ’s Garage was charged with manslaughter on Wednesday (April 22). This comes after the seven pit bulls mauled 36-year-old De’Trick Johnson to death last month.

Smith is scheduled for a plea and arraignment on May 5 in second division court.
