KFSM Channel 5 in Fort Smith, Arkansas is looking for a Part-Time Promotion Assistant to join the Creative Services team at the market leading station in the region.
Job Summary:
The Promotion Assistant is a brand new position at our Fort Smith studios. This is an entry level part-time position working approximately 20-25 hours a week. The ideal promotion assistant must be able to work closely with the Creative Services Director and creative team as well as other departments. The primary task is to oversee and schedule all promotional inventory and public service announcements on the daily broadcast log for our two television stations
Primary Duties:
Oversees the scheduling of all promotional inventory and public service announcements using Wide Orbit Traffic System
Assist in social media and website marketing as needed
Help oversee the production of station’s community calendar on TV as well as online
Write and distribute press releases for station events and news
Assist and work station sponsored events
Required skills:
Must be outgoing, enjoy working in a team environment, able to communicate effectively and be prepared to help out where ever needed.
Work well under pressure and able to multi-task
Willingness and ability to learn how to operate promotional equipment and computer programs
Knowledge of Excel, Word, Database entry, accurate typing abilities and proficient phone skills needed
Education/Experience
College degree preferred
Previous promotions experience a plus
Wide Orbit Traffic experience preferred but not required
