ROGERS (KFSM) -- Anglers from all corners of the world loaded up their fishing boats early Thursday morning (April 23) for the first day of the Walmart FLW Tour happening at Beaver Lake.

There are 150 bass fishing professionals and co-anglers out on the water. They compete in the tournament $125,000 cash prize!

Joe Opager, the Director of Public Relations for the FLW Tour, said that his favorite part is seeing the winner get the big cardboard check at the end of it. Opager added, "It's always pretty electric and it's a lot of fun to see."

He talked with 5NEWS Reporter Meredith Marney this morning as the anglers prepared to go out on the lake.

This is the 20th year for the Walmart FLW Tour, which runs through Sunday night.

Below is an interview with Joe Opager, who spoke with 5NEWS about everything the FLW Tour has to offer.
