April is typically the most active time of year and usually the weather causes major disruptions to outdoor events.
This week the pattern continues to trend towards an usual trend of sunny skies and calm weather.
The high pressure ridge will be strongest on Friday and begin to weak by Sunday with more rain chances around the first or middle part of next week.
As a result the first Steel Horse Rally for Fort Smith will have excellent weather.
10,000 riders are expected to be on Garrison Avenue on Friday and Saturday.
Garrison Avenue will be closed between 6th & 10th street. Expect delays and detours in the evening on Friday and Saturday
Partial closures will be 1 block to the east on 11th and to the west on 5th. The closures will be effective:
Friday Night: 6:30pm – 2:30 am Saturday Morning
Saturday Night: 3:00pm – 2:30 am Sunday Morning.
