Razorbacks Finish Hot April With Series Opening Win Over Alabama

HOOVER, Ala (KFSM)- The Arkansas baseball team (27-18, 12-10) finished the month of April on a terror and rolled past Alabama 5-1 Thursday evening at the Hoover Met.

Starting pitcher Trey Killian was dominant on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings and giving up just one run, while adding a career-high tying nine strikeouts.

With Arkansas leading 2-1 in the seventh, Michael Bernal broke the game wide open with his fourth home run of the year to make it 4-1.

Zach Jackson earned his fifth save after coming on in the seventh inning and worked 2.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts

Andrew Benintendi continues to swing a red hot bat, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Arkansas finished the month of April 13-4 and will go for its sixth consecutive SEC series win Friday evening with first pitch slated for 6 p.m. on SEC Network. Dominic Taccolini will get the start for the Razorbacks on the mound.
