Cedarville Mayor, Police Chief Announce Resignation

CEDARVILLE (KFSM)- The mayor of Cedarville announced Monday (May 4) night during a special city council meeting that she will be resigning May 19 due to worsening health, according to a post on her Facebook.

Mayor Glenanna O'Mara wrote that she requested the city council hold a special election to allow Cedarville residents to choose a new mayor, the post states. She also thanked residents for allowing her to serve them for more than three years.

According to the Facebook post, Police Chief Larry Merrill also submitted his resignation, effective May 6. Until he's replaced the Crawford County Sheriff's Office will be responding to calls made from Cedarville.
