LEFORE COUNTY (KFSM) - Authorities have arrested a man accused of approximately 20 burglaries and hitting a LeFlore County deputy with a Jeep door, police say.

Cameron Bowden was arrested in Spiro on Thursday (May 7), according to authorities.

On Tuesday (May 5), Bowden, driving a stolen Jeep, was approached by a deputy in Bokoshe, according to LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale. When Bowden saw the deputy, he backed up the Jeep, hitting the deputy with an open door, Seale said.

He left the deputy, drove into a pond with the Jeep, walked two miles and then stole another vehicle, authorities said.

A woman identified as Jessica Conley was in the Jeep with Bowden, according to deputies. She was also arrested in Spiro on suspicion of accessory to theft, according to authorities.

Conley was getting gas at the Sunset Corner Mart on Thursday when authorities spotted a vehicle loaned to her and Bowden from someone in the town of McCurtain. Both were taken into custody afterward. The LeFlore County Sheriff's Office said a loaded gun and methamphetamines were found in the vehicle the suspects were in.

In total, Bowden is accused of nearly 20 burglaries in LeFlore, Sequoyah, Haskell and Sebastian counties over the last three weeks, authorities said. Investigators also said he stole five cars.

He has three felony warrants in Haskell County on suspicion of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and grand larceny, and he also has a felony warrant out of Sequoyah County, according to deputies.
