A Gala Honoring Wounded Warriors Comes To Fort Smith

FORT SMITH (KFSM) - "An Evening of Honor" is intended to raise money for some of this country's most vulnerable veterans.  It is  scheduled to take place this weekend in Fort Smith. For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (May 10), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to Miss U A Fort Smith Joni Fields-Adams and Event Coordinator Pamela G. Kelly about what people should expect of this event.

The Wounded Warriors Project gala is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th at the Fort Smith Convention Center. The proceeds from this event goes to the non-profit that honors veterans hurt in combat following September 11 terrorist attacks. This is a black tie optional event, and tickets cost $95 each.
